IHE empowers people with “tools” to break through self-imposed limitations, resulting in greater productivity and a healthier bottom line.
Today, organizations like yours realize that unless they are constantly changing for the better (continuously improving) they are in serious jeopardy. Many organizations are attempting to successfully implement continuous improvement programs, customer satisfaction, etc., only to hit the wall of resistance within their existing culture. People either won’t change or don’t care to change. The new skills and new knowledge necessary to improve an organization are not enough. Today, new, improved attitudes and habits are key to maximizing organizational effectiveness.
Increasing Human Effectiveness (IHE) lays the foundation for self-management and personal accountability. This seminar is presented in a dynamic, highly interactive format. People from your organization, trained and certified by Edge Learning Institute, will guide co-workers through an intriguing, video-assisted process.
In his powerful video sessions, Edge’s Founder, Bob Moawad, teaches people how to empower themselves and reach new heights of effectiveness in every area of life. The video portion of the curriculum accounts for just part of the overall educational impact. Each unit revolves around key activities, providing a hands-on approach to learning. Includes an online sustaining program for review and reinforcement.
Benefits of Implementing IHE:
- Every aspect of this process moves attendees toward one overriding objective: Results!
- Accept new ideas, embrace accelerated change more readily and create a climate for achievement. How to raise the bar!
- Displace non-productive attitudes, habits and beliefs and utilize more of your potential.
- Approach life’s challenges on an “I want to” basis (instead of “I have to”).
- Accept personal responsibility and become a more effective self-manager.
- “Coach” yourself and become more self-motivated.
- Overcome fear of failure (and fear of success) and become more confident.
- Take risks, make better decisions and solve problems more effectively.
- Motivate yourself and others with dignity. Build “esprit de corps” and a “can do” attitude.

Respect: The Source of Our Strength

The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the program. It means that this program has met the HR Certification Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.SOS expands awareness of global trends and demographic changes upon today’s workplace. It also discusses the impact of group identity and mental processes on behavior, explains attitude formation and attitude change, and considers the role of self-esteem in workplace relationships. - Identify and address the barriers to respectful communication.
- Learn the essential relationship skills necessary for encouraging a diverse workplace.
- Learn how to more consistently act on knowledge vs. (often incorrect) beliefs and assumptions.
- Identify strategies for strengthening your inclusion-related “emotional intelligence” competencies.
- Learn why high self-esteem for yourself is essential for consistent respect of others.
- Develop a tool kit for displacing disrespectful habits and behaviors.
- Learn the 10 Steps for Establishing Positive Cross-Cultural Communication.

Unlocking Your Potential
Unlocking Your Potential (UYP) was created by Edge Learning Institute in 1984. It’s roots are found in Founder Bob Moawad’s early experiences in “democratic coaching” as a high school basketball coach and teacher. The premise is simple; catch kids when they are young enough and it’s a lot easier to help them develop the right attitudes for success in life. In the years since UYP was created, thousands of students have been positively impacted by the principles and concepts.
Students learn about the ingredients that make up a person’s potential…how great achievers become successful and how their techniques and systems can be applied. How to develop the right attitude…a positive self-image…positive self-talk…techniques for goal-setting…characteristics of high-performers…and much more. UYP provides students with hope and plays a decisive role in their lives by helping them decide where they are going…and how to get there.
Parents and educators, today more than ever, need effective tools to help students become more purposeful and self-directed in an increasing and rapidly changing world. They need effective tools to provide students hope, motivation and inspiration to reach high and achieve great things in life. They also need tools that help students understand that they are beautiful and unique just the way they are, helping them develop healthy self-esteem to combat the often negative pressures of the culture. UYP will help your students develop strong self-confidence that will create a foundation for healthy achievement as well as healthy emotional development.
Centered around a powerful video assisted format featuring Edge Founder Bob Moawad, each UYP session includes discussions and activities that make learning practical and energizing. UYP is currently utilized in thousands of high schools, clubs and associations around the country. Here are some of the ways UYP is utilized:
- As a unit for students in the classroom integrated into existing classes such as psychology, sociology, health and career education.
- Tools for coaches in training of athletic teams.
- As a back-up course for the high school driver’s education program.
- As a meaningful part of an in-house suspension program.
- A guidance tool for counselors in group counseling and classroom units at junior and senior high school levels. Aids in dropout prevention.
- As a program for drug and alcohol prevention.
- Learning tool to be used with student body leadership groups, i.e., Student Council, ASB Club, Pep Club, Cheerleaders, Debate team, etc.
- Building student leadership skills by having select student leaders facilitate the program with certain student groups.
- Agenda item for PTA groups.
- Establish parenting classes to be run for the benefit of the community.
How can UYP help you in your students’ development?
